In finding acceptance, you are allowing yourself to find a space for peace.
Acceptance is not suggesting what happened was ok, or that someone’s behaviour is acceptable.
Acceptance is not saying you will never experience difficult emotions again or feel triggered.
Acceptance is giving yourself permission to move forward in your life with a deeper understanding. A sense of peace.
Acceptance is being comfortable to put boundaries in place.
Acceptance is knowing you can love someone but not feel guilty for when they trigger you.
Acceptance is knowing triggers can happen, and you are learning to respond.
Acceptance is knowing that you are in control of your life, your space.
Acceptance is knowing it is ok to be annoyed, sad or angry and allowing yourself to process this without guilt.
Acceptance is making choices for your highest good without self judgement or fear.
Acceptance is knowing that right now you are safe in your body.
You are healing. You are growing.
